2008 Registration Information

  • 1) If you are interested in voulentering to coach or help the HOYF program please email
    commisioner@hoyf.com.


  • 2) Registration is open to any child between the ages of 7 and 16. Players must be 7 years old as of October 1st and no older than 16 as of October 1st. All interested players are encouraged to register as soon as possible to facilitate the formation of teams and distribution of equipment.


  • 3) On-line registration begins June 1st 2008. The on-line registration system accepts Visa, Mastercard and Online Checks. Registration is finalized upon receipt of payment. A link will be provided on June 1st for online registration.


  • 4) In person/walk-up registration will also be available every night, Monday thru Friday, 6 pm to 7:30 pm, August 4th through August 29th on the football field at Herndon Middle School. For registrations after August 29th, please contact the Football Commissioner at commissioner@hoyf.com


  • 5) Late Registration Fee: After July 31 2008, players registering will be charged a $25.00 late registration fee.


  • 6) Fairfax County User Fee: Fairfax County approved as part of their overall budget, a mandatory user’s Application Fee of $5.50 per child for participation at all athletic fields and gyms in Fairfax County. This fee will be added to your football registration fee for this season. All sports in Fairfax County that use county facilities are required to collect the fee. The monies collected will be used by the County to offset the cost of facilities scheduling (approx. 1.6 million dollars per year) incurred by Community & Recreation Services Department.


  • 7) HOYF Player Fee: $124.50 (multi-player family: $104.50 for 2nd player, $84.50 for 3rd player)
    Fairfax County User Fee: $5.50
    Equipment Deposit (refunded after all equipment is returned): $50.00

    Total Registration Fees: $180.00
    Additional Late Fee for registration after July 31, 2008: $25.00

    Registration fee assistance may be available if your family receives assistance from Fairfax County.

    Refunds will be authorized if player withdraws prior to first regular season game:
  • HOYF Player Fee will be refunded less $30.00 processing fee
  • Fairfax County User Fee cannot be refunded
  • Equiment Deposit will be refunded after all equipment is returned
  • Late Fee will not be refunded
