Welcome to Herndon Optimist Youth Football (HOYF)! We are one of the sports sponsored by the Herndon Optimist Club and operate under the umbrella of the Fairfax County Youth Football League (FCYFL). Our goal is to provide boys and girls, ages 7-16, of Northern Virginia an opportunity to play American-style full-contact tackle football and learn sportsmanship, teamwork, and responsibility while having fun!

Fall 2010 season practice starts August 9th and games start in mid-September. Please check our Events Calendar for upcoming equipment issue dates and FCYFL weigh-in dates. Registration fees are $150 plus a $50 equipment deposit refunded when equipment is returned. Scholarships are available for residents of Fairfax County receiving federal or state assistance. Late registration fee of $25 starts on August 15th.

HOYF and Omia's have joined forces to raise funds for the synthetic turf field at Herndon High School. 

Every Monday, Omia's will donate 15% of every purchase (take-out, delivery, and dine-in) to the HOYF turf field fund.  Make sure when you place your take-out, delivery, or dine-in order, your server puts "HOYF" on the guest check.
